The Billerica girls soccer team finished last week with 4 more points, clinching a spot in the state tournament. Their game against Central Catholic was thrilling, with seven goals being scored in the second half by the two teams. Central went up 1-0 in the second half but Billerica quickly tied it up making the score 1-1. This pattern continued making the score 3-2 in favor of Central Catholic. Billerica continued to fight through and ended up scoring in the last 10 minutes coming back and winning 4-3. On Thursday, they beat Dracut 4-0, getting them 2 points which gave them a total of 18 points and a spot in the state tournament. It was a 1-0 game at half, but the ladies quickly put the game away in the second.
